Meet our RUF Partners
Meet our IU Partner: Katelyn Spallinger
As RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) Campus Staff, Katelyn is a ministry employee working alongside the other RUF IU staff to reach and equip students with the Gospel! She is entrusted with leading the women’s discipleship sphere, and helping facilitate and guide all other avenues of ministry. A lot of her time is spent meeting with students one-on-one, listening, encouraging and praying with them, as well as equipping students to lead Bible studies on campus. It is a joy for her to serve the students at IU!
Meet our Purdue Partner: nate Osner
At RUF Purdue our main focus is to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. Throughout the year they provide various ways for students to both hear the gospel and grow in grace. In the weekly large group meetings they have students hear the Word preached while also growing in their various small groups where students lead other students in discussion around the Bible. A goal of theirs is that students wouldn’t just grow in their faith but that also they would ask hard questions and get honest answers. This includes inviting friends who are not Christians or who are questioning whether or not they want to follow Jesus, and it includes students who have always been believers. Each year they also take students to various regional and national conferences with other RUF chapters across the country. One of their favorite parts about working with RUF is the one-on-one meetings that they get with students both in their group and outside of their group. In these spaces they get to walk with students through various highs and lows and challenge them to see how Jesus meets them in both of those, and how the gospel continues to change them and grow them by the work of the Spirit.
