Meet josie Aalsma
Say Hello to Josie Aalsma, Our Talented Intern!
We are thrilled to introduce you to Josie Aalsma, our talented intern here at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. Let me start by emphasizing that Josie has been more than an intern, she has stepped up to be a blessing for many on the staff. Josie's connection with Redeemer runs deep, as she has been a part of our church family since childhood. Josie is a rising junior at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, pursuing her passion for music with a concentration in vocal performance.
“My friends would say that I like to be spontaneous and hangout all the time…I [also] like to jump in and help out where needed.”
During her time with us, Josie has already significantly impacted our community. She has served as a worship leader for Kid's Club, guiding our youngest members in heartfelt worship. Additionally, Josie has dedicated her time as a compassionate camp chaperone, spreading joy and making lasting memories with the students.
Josie's internship focuses on leading worship on Sunday mornings and writing inspiring music. Her musical talents, combined with her genuine heart for God, have led to powerful worship experiences that have touched the lives of many. We are immensely grateful for her dedication and the beautiful melodies she has brought to our services.
Some other musical projects she has taken have been writing a song based on a Psalm of her choice, composing new music for an existing hymn, and helping revise and organize the church songbook.
As the summer progresses, we encourage you to take a moment to say hello and get to know Josie. Her internship with us will wrap up at the beginning of August before she returns to Covenant College. Let us take this opportunity to appreciate Josie's incredible contribution to our community and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
