Charles loves helping people connect to Jesus and being part of how he’s bringing wholeness to our lives. As lead pastor, Charles focuses on setting vision for the church, preaching, and developing leaders. Before he came to Redeemer in 2017, Charles served as a pastor in Columbia, Missouri, as a seminary professor in London, England, and in college ministry with Cru in Missouri and Eastern Europe. He did a M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge.

Charles and Erin got married in 2000 and have four kids (all born in England, though none of them have English accents anymore, unfortunately). They love how living in downtown Indy helps all the different parts of their life interconnect. You can find them walking the neighborhood, enjoying Mexican food, cheering on their Missouri Tigers, and looking for bridge partners.
