We were created to worship the living God, to enjoy him and find our happiness in him. Our tendency, however, is to look elsewhere for our joy and happiness. Our Sunday morning worship is a "thin place" between heaven and earth where we meet with God. It's purpose is to pull our affections away from artificial objects of worship - money, careers, relationships, approval, power and control, among other things - and set our hearts on God.
